Why We Like ChemED
I like ChemEd because it brings together people who are interested in getting and sharing new ideas and activities that help students understand and enjoy Chemistry. I also like ChemEd because it encourages everyone to participate as a speaker, and treats all speakers as equal. Everyone has something to share!

My wife and I have attended the last 6 ChemEd's and presented at the last 3. We always get and learn new ideas and meet and make great friends. We certainly hope that someone will take the ball and keep it going. DocGizmo
ChemEd is an invaluable vehicle for veteren educators to pass on their wisdom, expertise and enthusiasm to a younger generation of teachers. It also allows the entire chemical education community at many levels to meet, exchange ideas and grow collectively. The end result is that we all become better at what we do and our students benefit immensely. As Co-Chair of ChemEd 2005 in Vancouver, I would urge any chemistry teachers who have attended a ChemEd in the past and who may have considered hosting the event in their city to make the effort to keep this important event alive. - Chris Toth
I am a dissertator in curriculum and instruction, secondary science education, at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. My research interests involve the use of student-generated, particulate-based models as a means of assessment for learning in high school chemistry, as well as describing the development of students' conceptual understanding with respect to basic thermodynamics at the secondary level. I am interested in presenting at ChemEd as well as attending presentations involving chemical education research. Kevin D. Cunningham
I have been to three ChemEds and I love meeting all teachers with a common interest. I enjoy sharing everything I have learned with the teachers at my school. - Tim Sweeney
