Welcome to the ChemEd Wiki
ChemEd is an idea, not an institution. It was initiated by Sib and Reg to facilitate the communication and networking among teachers of chemistry at all levels. The vehicles to do this are a conference every two years and an online Trading Post. The conference is hosted by a university or college in the odd years. The planning is done by volunteers. BCCE, which is run by the American Chemical Society is also hosted by a university or colledge in the even years. Currently the only Chem Ed organizational structure is a committee of former conference chairs. This group is charged with ensuring that there is a conference every two years. The chair of this commitee is Irwin Talesnick. The next ChemEd conference is in 2013. It will be held at the University of Waterloo, the birth place of ChemEd in Waterloo ON DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED, 2013.
